Not all stress is bad. Scientists now believe that a moderate amount of stress helps you prepare for the challenges you’ll encounter during the day.

However Stress in the long-term is rapidly becoming a nationwide epidemic across the UK, costing the NHS and businesses millions of pounds each year in the process. But, there are a number of simple steps that can be taken to help you cope with stress.

The secret of managing stress is to take care of yourself and where possible, identify and remove some of the causes of stress. Make sure you give yourself some breathing space if you find things are starting to get on top of you.

The  aim of any stress management programme is to provide practical professional help, advice and support, to help  you to talk about it, understand what stress is and how it affects you, physically, mentally and emotionally. It will be my job to observe, listen and ask questions to understand your situation, to support you in setting appropriate goals and  assess your progress. Also, to use questioning techniques to facilitate your own thought processes in order to identify solutions and actions.
